Here are few service providers I recommend:As always, when selecting a service provider make sure you have a clear understanding of WHAT you are buying and WHEN it will be delivered. Also, make sure you understand your launch sequence and are buying the right service at the right time. Many inventors are out of sequence and spend money on prototypes, patents and product development when they have little proof of potential market viability. Be careful with your money. It’s easy to get over extended. Some providers will trade for services and future royalties. Others will not. Consider what you really want… a service provider or a business partner. Also, it’s common to request an NDA from service providers that confirms all patent rights or I.P. remain with you.

For the AS SEEN ON TV distribution channel, we review inventions at the concept stage with early stage prototypes which can save you a lot of time and money.

To find out more about inventing for TV, see my video overview.

I love small business!

Small business is thriving in Missouri. I drove to the Missouri University in Columbia. Spoke with the advisors about As Seen on TV products.

And was really impressed. The experts there have so much to offer inventors and entrepreneurs.

The Missouri Small Business & Technology Development Centers (MO SBTDC) help businesses in every stage. From concept to start-up, growth to renewal, mature to succession.

MO SBTDC experts, located statewide.

Providing help on a variety of business topics through:

Professional business analysis

Business consultations and access to technology resources

Educational training seminars on a variety of business topics: financial analysis, strategic planning, technology commercialization, management, HR, social media, marketing, taxes, customer service, business plan, start-up and more.

Earn $330,000 Inventing Products for TV or $27,500 in Finders Fees. Find Out More.

If you have a new product concept that can be licensed or manufactured.

Please contact us. Too many inventors go into early stage small business debt. We recommend low cost, high return inventing.

Be careful to avoid debt in the early stage of small business development. It’s better to start small and make a profit along the way, rather then find yourself in a big hole you dug.

You may need to keep your full time job going.

And work extra hours to get your start-up small business off the ground. That’s part of it. Don’t give up. Just keep increasing sales and keeping expenses low.

Learn and grow in a steady way.

Onward & upward

KCPT explores inventing, product development in Kansas City!

Product development and product design are important considerations to any inventor or product developer.

Inventive Ideas, Carrie Jeske, serves, on contract, as a Director of Marketing for R2FACT Product Development.

Watch this great company overview on R2Fact – Startups: Made in Kansas City presented in KCPT.

KCPT was so much fun to work with on this project. Working with R2FACT Product Development has been such a pleasure for me. Steve Pope is one the best product design experts I know. He’s created so many great lawn & garden product lines as well as medical device projects.

Deciding whether to patent or prototype is a tough choice for inventors.

I’ve seen people spend $10,000 on a utility patent only to find out the product specs cannot be manufactured. On the other hand, I watched people waste money on product development, then find out the item is not patentable.

That can cost you so much time and money, don’t make these mistakes. Make sure to do all your research in detail.

These are hard decisions that must be made with the least cost and highest possible return.

Having a strong product developer evaluate your proof of concept is a wise first step to starting your own small business.
