Don’t over tweak prototypes.
It’s true that when you fail to plan you plan to fail, but some early stage entrepreneurs spend so much time tweaking the prototype and re evaluating the business plan that they never make any progress at all. It’s called “examining your navel”. Spending so much time looking within, at yourself, that you fail to see opportunity right in front of you.
One key to ACTION, is to have some accountability from someone you trust. Whether a service provider or friend, it’s important to set goals that you’re accountable to achieve.
Another important tip is to start with an action plan. I like to start with an Excel spreadsheet with headers like: WHO, WHAT, WHY, WHERE, and WHEN in columns. Then, as your working yourself and with others, there is written accountability.
